The University of Tryon expounds the philosophy of encouraging every individual to go through life riding a Blazing Saddle. It is so easy to complain and moan and be negative about everything. The Doomers and Gloomers are everywhere, but to be positive and to enjoy the challenges that life presents us is to jump up on a tall, strong horse and to see things that others cannot. To enjoy the differences we all have as rugged individualists. To stand tall in the saddle. To celebrate the diverse cultures that we are all a part of. To "conquer fear, conquer hate and to turn dark night into day....and to use your Blazing Saddle as a torch to light the way!!"
